So many times in life we search for things. Whether we are searching for our keys, phone, a place, or whatever it may be. We have to physically get up and look for those things but yet sometimes, we do not find them. One thing we do not have to search for is God’s love. He does not hide from us, he waits for us to make that choice to build that relationship with Him. Seeking Him daily with daily repentance is how we build that relationship with Him.
Anything that you do in life should be prayed about first. If you seek the Kingdom of God first, everything will fall into place. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” God tells us everything we need to do to have a life of joy and peace. Will it be easy? Absolutely not because the closer you get in your relationship with God, the more the enemy try’s to destroy it. God will also put you in situation to humble you and to bring you even closer to Him.
Growing up I attended church but never really was taught about building that relationship. I never prayed before I made any decisions in life, I just done what I wanted to do. What I thought was the best for my life at the time. It wasn’t until recently that I was taught that God just wants a relationship with us and we have to seek Him daily to have eternal life with Him. When I would make my own decisions, my life was in shambles! Nothing went right! I remember telling my husband over and over, “why is it that nothing goes our way or good for us?” We kicked, scratched, fought for everything we have in life. Now, we pray before EVERYTHING and things are just so much easier. Yes, we still have to fight at some point along the way and we have seasons that are harder than others, but God gets us through every time and it makes our relationship with him even stronger. When in doubt, look up! Don’t let the little things keep you from building your relationship with Him! And if you are in a hard season, He gets you through….don’t run away! Keep pursing Him! God is not a once and done thing. So many times I see people run to Him when they are in trouble and as soon as they get to the other side of that trouble, they drop Him and go about their business. Things happen in our life because He wants to bring us closer. And when the enemy attacks, FIGHT BACK! Do not let satan win! Anything that you had to get out of your heart, weather it be depression, anger, porn, lust, shame, etc, the enemy will use that to take your focus off of God. Once you kick though bad roots out of your heart, you have to notice quickly when the enemy is trying to taunt you with those and rebuke them. The more you let it fester, the harder it will be to get it back out. Remember God tells Jeremiah in 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” He has plans for you! And the closer you get to Him, the more He will reveal that to you.
He loves you and I pray you grow that relationship with Him. Break those chains, break those generational curses! You are meant to do amazing things and He is waiting on you!
