My Protector

My current class I am taking is called “Servant Leadership” and this class teaches us the importance of leading like Jesus by serving those we are meant to lead. Then I started reflecting on how our world is today. How amazing would it be if we had millions out there leading like Jesus? How many times have you seen someone or have you been that person that does not look at a situation as “what can I do for you” but rather “what are you going to do for me” mentality? Or let us not forget, when others need help, we do not help but rather video that person in pain. It is very disheartening to see the world that we are raising our kids in.

How can we be a better version of ourselves to rightfully lead others (and I am not just talking about work; we lead people in our everyday lives). We first have to take a moment and reflect on what is in our heart. I challenge you to spend some time and have an encounter with our Heavenly Father. First repent, ask for forgiveness in whatever sin you committed. Remember our Father knows ALL so there is nothing you can hide from Him, He just wants you to personally say it out loud to Him, seek His forgiveness, and turn away from your sin. Now you are ready for an encounter. Ask Him to search your heart, to reveal to you anything that is taking up space in your heart that is not of Him. Take a moment and really listen for Him to speak to you, I promise He will. Get rid of all distractions and just focus on our Heavenly Father. Once He has revealed what is in your heart that is not of Him, dig it out, roots and all. Then ask Holy Spirit to invade your heart with all the fruits of the spirit (peace, gentleness, kindness, love, joy, patience, and self-control).

Focus on the good things in life, the more you focus on that and of God, the more we will walk like Jesus. Remember you have power in your tongue. Whatever you say over your life is what is going to happen. When we start walking like Jesus, we can better serve others just like He did. When you are walking down the street and you see a person crying, stop and ask to pray with them. Have empathy, love, care, and respect of others. Do not break out the phone and just hit record. Let us be different in a good way and make a change for the better.

Abba Father, I come before you with a heart full of gratitude. Father, I thank you for Your wisdom and love that you have given me. I thank you for showing me how to be a carrier of Your light. Father, I pray for every person that is lost, for all those reading this, for all those that are not sure if they believe or not, and for those that are trying to seek Your favor. Lord continue to search my heart for anything that is not of You. May my heart be filled with only You and that the enemy sees he has not hold. Father, I love you and ask that You let every step I take be Your step. May you fill me with Your boldness, confidence, love, joy, discernment, wisdom, patience, and kindness. Abba Father just continue Your work in my life. I pray this ALL in Jesus name, AMEN. Matthew 28:19
