My Protector

I am praying you all had a great New Year and spent it in reflection of what God has done for you in 2025. I had time to process with what the Lord has done for my family and I. So many times, I do not see the big blessings so I think God does not hear me or I am doing something wrong. But when I sit and look at all of the little things, man it blows my mind. And if you would have told me in the beginning of 2025 that we would be letting our house go and moving into a tiny home, I would have said you were crazy! But here we are, living the tiny home life. I told my husband many times that if we lost our house, I do not know what I was going to do. When my husband got out of the oilfield, he cashed out his 401K for us to run on for a bit and at that time my heart was not ready to let the house go. But God! He knew He had to prepare my heart that the house was robbing me of my peace. I would be in constant stress wondering how we were going to catch up and makes payments. It wasn’t until after we went through the 401K money that my heart was ready and we told our mortgage company that we would like for them to pick up our double wide. We are still paying on our tiny home and trying to get it finished, but the payments is a lot more doable, especially since my husband is working now (which was a huge blessing for us). So we have been obedient in what God has called us to do and working on stewarding His money better. We both know that all of the money that comes in our household would not be possible without God, so we have to give Him glory in that.

From here, my husband and I both feel like our more is coming. Deuteronomy 28:2 says “And all these blessing shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Even in those moments that seem scary or you don’t think there is a way, God promises you that with your “yes” He will provide the way. So I can stand here in declaration and confidence that our tiny home living is temporary because of what God Word says. It is giving us a chance to regroup and pay things off while stewarding the money better. With that, He has refined me and built me up to be a better carrier of His light. He has “lifted me out of the pit of despair out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” (Psalm 40:2). He also promises that through our obedience, He will restore what was lost 10 fold. Look at the book of Job, He lost literally everything including his health, but through his faithfulness and obedience, God gave him an abundance back through that.

We have to remember that God never promises easy, but He does promise that He will provide a way when we keep our focus and faith in Him. Romans 5:3-4 says “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” And this is exactly How God has been refining me. So keep pushing through the hard and lean into His Word. With that, you will come out on the other side stronger with blessings awaiting.

Father, I pray for every person that is reading this post right now. Father, I pray that they change their focus from the negative things to the positive things that You are showing them. I pray that when they feel like there is no way, they know that You will provide a way. Father that they keep their focus and faith in You and remember that You will not let them fall. I pray for blessing upon blessings for each and every person and that they continue to build the relationship with you to create a firm foundation of their life. I pray this all in Jesus name, Amen.
